During the past weekend, 15th-16th of May, thousands of Bersaglieri, a corps of the Italian Army, overrun the squares of Milan in occasion of the 58th National Meeting.
The Hotel Sanpi gave hospitality to the fanfare of Bergamo, one of the almost 70 fanfares that took part in the demonstration.
Well recognizable for the traditional feathers on the helmets, 100 thousand of Bersaglieri, coming from all over Italy, marched between the acclaim of the Milanese public.
Three days of events, exhibitions and official speeches to let the citizens know about the merits and the dedication of the Bersaglieri Corps, and to remember with honour what they did in the past for the Italian people.
The meeting finished with a parade, from Porta Venezia to piazza Duomo: the fanfares went through the streets of Milan playing their trumpets.
The crowd applauded and followed them during the parade, showing their admiration.
This is how the Bersaglieri said goodbye to the city of Milan.
